Mercedes Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe (1:8 Scale)

The Original

Daimler-Benz developed this coupé version of the 300 SLR racing sports car for the 1956 season. It was constructed under the supervision of the then head of the MB racing car department, Rudolf Uhlenhaut. The nickname “Uhlenhaut Coupé” reminds us of this today.

However, racing never took place because Mercedes Benz withdrew from motorsport in 1955 at the end of the season. The MB 300 SLR is one of the most spectacular and expensive super sports cars ever built and was already way ahead of its time.

The Model

LEGRAND 1/8 kits are made from high quality materials. The body of the model, which weighs around 7 kg, is made of die-cast metal and is already painted.

The kit consists of more than 900 parts and is easy to assemble and contains parts made from various materials such as metal, rubber, textiles and high-quality plastic. Most components are screwed and plugged in. If there are only a few parts, gluing with a model building adhesive is recommended.

The steering and suspension are functional and the doors and flaps can also be opened prototypically. The model pictures show hand samples. Series production may vary in details.
